Dr. Marc A. Grimmett is a professor, documentary filmmaker, and licensed psychologist whose scholarship focuses on preventing gender-based violence, male engagement, African American health and wellness, and developing multicultural and social justice counselor education teaching and research methods. Dr. Grimmett’s courses focus on community counseling, multicultural counseling, and gender issues in counseling. He is also the executive producer, co-director, and co-writer of MY MASCULINITY HELPS, an educational documentary that explores the role of African American men and boys in the prevention of sexual violence.
