Workplaces are constantly evolving, with new leadership, rules and expectations. This event will give you tools to lead and succeed, with a focus on navigating the unknown, communicating effectively and creating inclusive environments.
Organized by the Health Sciences CASI Collaborative (Schools of Nursing, Pharmacy, Veterinary Medicine and School of Medicine and Public Health), supported by the Secretary of the Academic Staff, and open to all academic and university staff.
SESSIONS
- 8:00 am: Registration opens; coffee and pastries
- Sessions on staff leadership:
- 8:30 am: Understanding and Leading Change – Recognize the stages of change and learn from negative experiences (Fully Prepared to Lead class)
- 10:00 am: Improv Hour: Practice leading without the title – Learn moment-to-moment leadership through a series of guided improvisational activities
- 11 am: Embracing Equity: Leveraging opportunities to create more inclusive work environments
- 12 pm: Adjourn
