Description:
Self-awareness is a critical contributor to workplace success and engagement. In this course, participants will explore dual cognitive processing including its influence on how we take action and make decisions in the workplace. Participants will also explore how personal and social identities can affect relationship building with a focus on how to apply tools to increase self-knowledge through active reflection, overcome assumptions, and enhance problem solving in order to contribute to a healthy, inclusive and engaging work environment. After completing this session, participants will:

• Be able to explain how dual cognitive processes influence actions and decision-making, including the development of unconscious biases

• Analyze and reflect on the potential impact of personal and social identities on workplace relationships and collaboration

• Be able to use self-knowledge to implement problem solving strategies to positively address workplace challenges
