How do you know if your students are learning what you hope they’re learning? What assignments, class discussions or assessments are most effective? How can you provide more useful feedback to individual students and yet have time for responses to many? Join us as we discuss these questions and more, and demonstrate how faculty and instructors can digitally connect course assignments, rubrics and student performance (grades) in Canvas to learning outcomes via AEFIS. The resulting student learning profiles and reports allow instructors to better understand how students are learning on an individual level as well as across a course or program – and, in turn, can inform and optimize teaching and assessment practices to promote student success. Presenters will also provide candid insights about implementing these practices: what works and what doesn’t.
This session may be of particular interest to faculty, instructors and others involved in course development, those teaching online courses and/or professional programs.
