Boiler Operation Safety  (back)
 
Description:
This module provides the basic knowledge to safely operate and maintain boiler systems. Instruction includes the fundamentals of boiler operation and maintenance. Covers steam, feed water, fuel, and draft systems. Includes boiler water treatment and hot water heating systems. Introduces safe mechanical operating procedures used in the industry. Objectives: Understand the basic concepts of steam, hot water, feed water, fuel, and draft systems. Understand the basic boiler cycle and boiler water chemistry. Know how to use the tools and equipment of the trade. Describe and demonstrate the fundamentals of safe boiler operation and maintenance.
