Space management is a sensitive subject, and every review, relocation, or renovation comes with inherent risk. In this session, we’ll focus on effective risk mitigation strategies employed by the Space Management Office, which can be applied to a wide variety of projects across the university. By emphasizing the importance of setting clear expectations, cultivating authenticity in personal and professional interactions, and fostering open and honest communication, you’ll leave with a better understanding of how to manage risk in your own work.
Presented by Jesse Winters, Interim Director, Space Management Office, Facilities Planning and Maintenance
This free event is part of the Office of Strategic Consulting’s “In-Scope: Managing Projects at UW Madison” series. In Scope is a mini-curriculum and conversation workshop series designed for managers of small- to medium-sized projects. In this series, project management experts address managing projects in the university environment, introduce project management methods and resources, and facilitate conversations around common problems and solutions
