Antibiotic resistance is a global health threat. ‘One Health’ recognizes the interconnections in the health of people, animals, and our shared environment. Laurel Legenza, PharmD, PhD, Teaching Faculty in the School of Pharmacy, and colleagues are applying geographic mapping and data visualization methods to provide insights into antimicrobial resistance with a One Health approach. Dr. Legenza will present their research demonstrating how antibiotic resistance varies at neighborhood levels in Wisconsin and across regions. She will also present their research results examining similarities and differences in antibiotic resistance among host species, including humans, canines, and bovines.
