In this hour-long workshop, Jules Reynolds will dive into the practical details and mechanics of building out a Community-Based Learning capstone course that builds from and supports her on-going community-based research. She will discuss course design, capstone project development, community involvement and evaluation, and implications for the larger research process. Jules is a joint PhD Candidate in Geography and Environmental Studies, and is conducting her dissertation research in partnership with farm-to-table restaurant Brix Cider in Mount Horeb, WI. Last fall she taught a Nelson Institute capstone course, “Exploring Food System Resilience in Wisconsin Communities."
