Black males remain underrepresented in engineering educational pathways. To address the nation's (and the world's) biggest challenges, we must utilize all of the nation's diverse talent. Broaden participation in engineering requires intentional strategies to support students from childhood through graduate education. This program will include viewing a new video series, a short lecture, and a panel discussion on improving Black males' journeys through STEM pathways.
The Black Males in Engineering (BME) project consists of five short videos, interactive handouts, and a new website all aimed to aid Black males’ journeys toward success in STEM from early childhood through graduate education.
There is no cost to attend this event. Attendees will have choice of popcorn, Gardettos, or chocolate chip cookies, served with choice of bottled water or soda.
