This session provides supervisors with the tools and knowledge to successfully navigate the performance management process, specifically as they pertain to midpoint evaluations. By the end of the session, participants will be able to:
• Explain the purpose and process of performance management at UW-Madison, to include key timelines, criteria, and alignment within the university; • Develop meaningful midpoint evaluations for staff, blending together anecdotal and trend behaviors to capture performance; and • Complete midpoint evaluations in Workday, while coaching staff on their role in the process.
The content covered will help equip supervisors with the skills needed to foster constructive conversations and support staff development through effective performance management practices.
