Grow(v.): (of a living thing) Undergo natural development by increasing in size and changing physically; progress to maturity.

  • The WiGrow program was started by the Student Employment Initiative, a VCFA (Vice Chancellor for Finance and Administration) committee whose goal is to make student employment on campus a high-impact practice through intentional interaction and reflection. The mission of the Office of the VCFA and its affiliated units is to provide the highest quality administrative and student-life services to enhance the University of Wisconsin-Madison experience.
  • The WiGrow program is an engagement effort aimed to increase the positive impact of student employment through supervisor and student employee conversations. This program provides each student with an opportunity to grow and to recognize transferrable skills acquired in student employment that can be applied to any future endeavor.
  • The WiGrow program was derived from the IOWA GROWTM program at the University of Iowa.
